The Business Education Resource Consortium started as one of the original six statewide Tech Prep resource projects established by the California Department of Education. Currently, it is funded by the Carl Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act. The Consortium currently has two funding sources: a Distribution Points Grant and a Project Curriculum for Business Education Innovative Practice Grant.

The Business Education Resource Consortium provides technical assistance and resource assistance to help educators in preparing students for the challenges of the twenty-first century.
